Students will analyze a variety of texts from different time periods and cultures. There is an emphasis on reading skills such as analyzing author decisions, author’s craft, and character development. In writing, students focus on crafting arguments and creating complex narratives. Students will write a personal statement, a research paper, analytical pieces, and creative pieces.
