Literacy Workshop is a reading support and intervention course, developed in conjunction with Fountas and Pinnell, designed to help students develop their reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and independent reading skills. By developing these skills, students may become more engaged, competent readers of the kinds of texts they must understand for success in their academic, personal, and professional lives. Students may exit from the course when they reach grade level proficiency as defined by Fountas and Pinnell.
