This class continues the student’s education in playing and performing in the mariachi style of music. Students will continue to hone their skills in reading music and performance. Students will perform periodically throughout the year at concerts, WMEA Mariachi Contest, and the Northwest Mariachi Festival. In addition, students will have the opportunity to compete in YVMEA Solo & Ensemble. Evaluation is based on participation, attendance, and playing tests. Attendance at evening and weekend performances is required.
