Cardio / Respiratory Training

Semester Course          (Grades 9-12)          Credit (P.E.)

This class will focus on cardio respiratory fitness through fun and motivating workouts such as cardio training, kickboxing, step aerobics, HIIT, Tabata and Zumba. These activities will give students the skills they need to stay active that will last for a lifetime. Students will set individual goals and monitor progress throughout the semester. The fitness and health aspects covered in class will be useful for helping students in maintaining healthy lifetime fitness goals. Physical fitness levels will be assessed using the FITNESGRAM assessment. Written work relating aspects of health and fitness will be required in this course.
