Yearlong Course            (Grades 9)          Credit (English)

In this one period class, students will build reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills that will help prepare them for college, work, and life. Studies will include, but are not limited to: analyzing genres in a variety of mediums to develop accurate evidence based responses, essay writing, and research. There is a focus on author’s craft and close reading skills throughout the year.
