Algebra 2

Yearlong Course          Grades (10-12)          Credit (Math)

In this year long course, students will be developing new models and methods to reason as well as solve problems that confront them. They will utilize the Common core Math Practices to make connections, discover relationships, develop strategies, and explain their thinking. Students will begin the year analyzing relationships through functions then move through Investigations and Functions, Transformations of Parent Graphs, Equivalent Forms, Solving and Intersections, Inverse and Logarithms, 3-D Graphing and Logarithms, Trigonometric Functions, Polynomials.  Learning to think critically and collaboratively as well as practicing precisely communicating your thinking are skills that will be useful in future math courses, in other parts of your high school career, and in your life.
