Algebra 1

 In this year long course, students will be developing new models and methods to reason as well as solve problems that confront them. They will utilize the Common core Math Practices to make connections, discover relationships, develop strategies, and explain their thinking. Students will attend to precision and make use of structures while connecting patterns and functions, modeling linear and non-linear data, working with quadratic and exponential functions and exploring sequences. Learning to think critically and collaboratively as well as practicing precisely communicating your thinking are skills that will be useful in future math courses, in other parts of your high school career, and in your life.
