Semester Course       (Grades 9-12)          Credit (Fine Arts)

Art Elements 1 is an introductory course in drawing, painting, sculpture, and art analysis. Students will learn a variety of techniques from proper way to use a drawing pencil, mixing paint colors and creating realistic drawings. Students will learn the basic vocabulary of Art, focusing on the Elements of Art and Design Principles. Art history, aesthetics and art criticism will be incorporated throughout the course.
