Science
Health Science Pathway
This pathway includes: PLTW Principles of BioMedical Science (9th Grade), PLTW Human Body Systems (10th grade) and Medical Interventions (11th grade). The final PLTW course, Biomedical Innovations, will be offered to 12th graders for the 2019-2020 school year.
Traditional Science Pathway
This pathway is more traditional with Earth/Space offered in 9th grade. 10th grade explores either the life sciences in Biology or introduction to chemistry and physics in Physical Science. Chemistry, AP Chemistry, AP Biology and Physics are course offerings for 11th and 12th grades.
Ag Science Pathway
This pathway offers science credits through career and technical education classes. These classes include: CASE Ag, Food & Natural Resources (9th grade) , CASE Plant Science (10-12 Grade), CASE Animal Science (10-12 Grade), CASE Natural Resources & Ecology (10-12 Grade), and CASE Animal & Plant Biotechnology (11-12 Grade). These classes are offered for grades 9 – 12. Regardless of the path chosen GHS encourages 4 years of science for all students.
